RT: " Note to self, Moscato is terrible wine...its sweet water."

Astrology?...

Well...bored @ work...decided to look up my astrology sign, Cancer. Here is what it says:

The Cancer woman is careful about who she gives her heart to, because once she commits, she gives her all. Your lunar lady is truly feminine, and lucky for you, of all the signs, Cancer is the most nurturing and protective of those close to her. Her ruler, the moon, rules the changing emotions--so she can be a moody person. If you marry her, this will not be a problem for she will be very loyal to you, and often put your interests ahead of hers. Your lunar goddess takes responsibility seriously. Harsh tactics would be the wrong approach to take with her. Keep your temper under control and don't be demanding. Cancers have excellent memories and she will remember everything you said, unfortunately whether you meant it or not.

Sounds about right, I am basically a big softie to the ones who deserves it, with the occasional mood swing.

Scatterbrain: Relax....stay alert!

A party full of foreign people
Oh how excited I am at this vision
Automatically it heightens my senses
Meeting new people is my thing
Dancing with friends of family
Getting down salsa-ing
Then very faintly I hear a drunken voice
Say, “Don’t hurt that nigga’s feelings"....
Then I thought should I let this run its course

I quickly remove myself from the dance floor
Embarrassed, feeling like a whore
While I urged my friend to depart
All I felt was pain my heart
Is this how far we’ve gotten as people?
Regardless that we are made of the same chemistry
Haven’t we learned from our history?
We’re moving back towards the start
Where the light eventually turn dark

Man I can’t believe that happen
Or was I just too busy relaxing?

Scatterbrain: The Gift

Born in a world of pain
Scarred with the tasks of staying sane
To some, innocence taken early
Either voluntarily or involuntarily
The history of those who take
Because it’s for their conscience sake
This place where purity is a joke
And damaged is hidden with coke
I ask myself, “Why should I birth”
In a world, where the girth
Will constantly decrease
Either by their biology
Or what they will see
At last, I see a bright light
That improves my eye sight
From a force like no other
That says change is what I will discover.

The Wood....

Just finished watching "The Wood" and it is one of my favorite movies of all time...and this song right here is so beautiful...RIP Teddy Pendergrass.

RT: " suck, never chew".....lol
RT: "The Wood is a classic.....watching it now!"

Scatterbrain: Inspiration

Beep Beep Beep
Man it’s that time again
Eyes open to see the ceiling
Thank you GOD for this blessing
Look to my left
To receive wet kisses
Oh how LUCKY I am for you
Mind is now focused on the future
Planning/Analyzing steps to get to the next level
Burying negative thoughts with a shovel
God, why you choose me to see this way
Thanking you every day for this vision
Of knowing that I have you through all seasons
Keep telling myself “inspire others”
Mothers, sisters, cousins, and brothers
That they too can see this way
We are loved each and every day
From a God who loves unconditionally
Even when we are unable to see……..

MUAH, GOD BLESS!!!!!!!

Move it along.....

When I hear this song, it makes me feel good....realizing that the world keeps moving even when things in your world stops...again we fall out, but there is always a possibility to reunite.

AFROLICIOUS Sunday!

This Sunday was lovely as usual. My cuzzo was in town, so I took him to this really nice burrito joint called Lime, which was delicious. On another note, my dog, Lucky says hi....and here is an update on my afro! Dope, right?!...lol....And oh, don't mind the woolly eyebrows...I was channeling Lauryn Hill (which I don't mind)...lol.

Fall for the Arts Festival (Part II)

FOOOOOOOOOD! So the variety of food stands, trucks, and booths were amazing. They had everything from burgers to ice cream to even whoopie pies (fyi....the best whoopie pies comes from the South!).....But can I just say, I love fish tacos and french fries, so I stopped by this truck called Jefe, which turned out to be OKAY, not the best, but it was good enough. Here are a couple of pictures of my food, Jefe's food truck, and the view of the Adrienne Arsht Center, which is beautifully built...ENJOY!

Finally....Fall for the Arts Festival (Part I)

Okay, so this is well overdue, given that I actually went to this festival on September 12th. Basically the festival is jump off to the beginning of the theater and dance season. I have always love the arts and what it does for the inner soul. Here are some great photos of a Colombian Folkloric group and an awesome Japanese drumming group, called Fusho Daiko.

Scatterbrain: Let Go

The games we play
To hide our deepest feelings
And thoughts
As if we are walking with armor
Protecting what?
The benefits of pain
Learning that love is the gain
Letting go is the mission
Upon completion
Investment is increased
Patience, it takes time
As long as it’s not wasted
But savored
Marching towards the goal
Over obstacles
But once it is reach
It is oh so sweet
Why don’t you join?
