I guess we all have a different version of what we believe, the american dream to be. The standard version, going to college, getting married, buying a house, having 2 children, a boy and a girl. Actually,it don't sound bad. Do I want to live it ? Right now i'm taking one day at a time. Learning to live again.....slowly

That is the way most people should live their lives (in my opinion), one day at a time, but u know some people die trying to achieve that American dream....that I do not understand. Now at the end of statement, you said "Learning to live AGAIN...slowly", why the again?

Teaching school is my second, career. I consider myself lucky to say that. My first career, I lost myself, the person who I really was. It was like I looked in the mirror and I did not reconize, and I did not like the image I saw. I read the comics again, I watch my collection of old movies. I recently called a friend I abandon, because he had came out of the closet, and I could not deal with it. After college instead, going into teaching as I had planned, I entered the macho-bizarro world..........in some ways my life will never be the same.

Wow....glad that you're in a better place today. We all have those "moments of realization" that results in change. Some are drastic and some are minor, but nevertheless, CHANGE is good!
